Answer to prayer?

Well, I went to a friend's last night to hang out and this morning her mom offered to pay me to housesit for them next weekend. I have no idea how much, but this is an answer to prayer! I can put this amount away and just try to find more work to add to it; who knows - maybe I will be able to earn the whole amount I need to go to Montana and won't have to borrow from anyone after all! That would be so nice; I hate debt.

We found a house, too! It's in a nice neighborhood in Eugene, only a few blocks from one of the branch libraries (the kids are thrilled!). I haven't seen it yet, but it sounds really nice. Kelli and Jessica will be able to have their own rooms, so that's good. I'll be staying in Kelli's room until she gets out here, and then I'll just use the couch until my moving day a week later. The house has a huge yard, fenced all the way around with a nice privacy fence, and it has a lot of external storage, as well as a chain link enclosure that Rosie will be able to use for her rabbits. Our rental application has been approved and now we are just waiting for the other paperwork to clear and the house to be inspected, then we can move in! From what I can gather it looks like it might be toward the end of August, but that's fine; we need some more time to get ready to move anyway and me especially since I won't be unpacking at the new house. I'll only have my clothes and a few other necessaries since I'll be leaving so soon afterwards. So my things have to be completely ready for an inter-state move! Ugh. :|

I'm sorry there aren't many recent pictures on here, for those of you who appreciate that more than journaling. I have several one-use cameras waiting to be developed, but I will have to wait until I'm out in Montana and working before that will happen. Mom has some more recent pictures to develop too and she's going to make me copies eventually. Fear not! I will give you pictures eventually! :)

Please continue to pray for my family as they move to this new city and get settled in. The kids are used to small town living and it's going to take them a little while to get used to the restrictions necessary to city life. Please pray that the kids will respect our parents’ judgment and will adjust quickly and painlessly to their new life.

Please pray also for me as I seek to follow God’s lead in this time of transition. Pray that He will give me the wisdom to discern His hand at work, and to be patient.

Thank you, and God bless! :)

Moving Date...?

Well friends, it looks like my moving date is going to be September 10th. I am still waiting on funds, but I am confident that God will provide them at the right time. :) As it is, I hope to see those of you who are in Oregon before I leave, and I am excited to reconnect with those of you in Montana! Only 49 days to go if that does indeed turn out to be the day I am able to move. Yeah!!!

"Desire of My Heart"

"Desire of My Heart"

All I really want in life is to be happy
To run with destiny and flirt with possibility
I want to feel the breath of God at my back
And the sun of salvation on my face
To know without questioning that I am loved
To love without reserve those close to me
I want to be the best that I can be
And never lose the innocence Christ restored to me
To never face another storm without assurance
That what I see is not always what is real
And that what is real lives in my heart always
I want to live as though tomorrow will never come
Knowing that when it does it is really just today
For all my life I long for peace and serenity
To know above all else that I am not alone
To know that God has my back as well as my hand
That no matter what comes He will never forsake me
And that I am secure in His promises
All I really want in this life is to prepare for eternity
And to know that this short span was not wasted
I want to make a difference in another's life
As so many have made the difference in mine
And more than anything I want to know
Really honestly know beyond the shadow of a doubt
That my actions are merely reflections of God's will
To be perfect as He is perfect
There is no higher calling to which man may aspire

My "Sexy" Pose (Yeah Right)

Just a fun picture from my Montana vacation; Aunt Debbie kept teasing me about posing "sexy" for the camera so I would have "nice" pictures to give to Nick. I think she may have an overactive imagination if she thinks this looks "sexy" - I think it looks funny! :P

My Scheming Mind...

Well, here's the scoop:

My family is preparing to move once again as both of my parents have been accepted at a very good Bible college that is just far enough away that daily commuting is not feasible. We are currently looking for a house, and as soon as God directs us to the correct one we will be moving. Our goal is the 1st of August, but we trust that God will move us in His timing.

Once we are safely ensconced in our new residence I will be searching for temporary employment that will only last about a month (or less, if necessary). I have need of a minimum of $200 before I can implement this next stage of my life…

During the first week of September my cousin Kelli will be moving in with my family, and shortly thereafter I will be moving out. The prior-mentioned money is needed for a one way bus ticket and a little bit of a cushion to hold me over for a few weeks. Here’s why:

Kelli’s mother, my Aunt Debbie, is graciously allowing me to live with her since her daughter is going to be living with my family and I need a place to live for a while. You see, I am moving back to Montana.

I already have a job waiting for me, thanks to God’s grace and His divine intervention two years ago when I quit this same job. I had intended at the time to write my employer a very nasty letter detailing why I hated working for them and would never do so again. Thankfully, God intervened and I had an attack of conscience and never wrote the letter, managing to part on extremely good terms with my boss. Well, now that reserve is paying off – they want me back! Not only that, but the client I worked with two years ago has apparently requested me as her caregiver several times over the years. She is a very kind Christian lady who was a delight to work with. I am truly blessed!

So my plan is this:

Return to Montana in September, work for Kensington while living with my aunt, and eventually buy a car and find a new job (this one pays well, but it is high stress). Next fall (2007) I hope to enroll in the Montana School of Massage and earn my certification as a massage therapist. After that is anybody’s guess!

NOTICE:

See this? This is a crab (oh yah, and me). Actually, it's several crab bits that I stuck together to make a (little bit more than) whole crab.
Anyway, that's beside the point...

See this? This is an ANGRY crab! (Actually, it's dead, but that too is beside the point.) The point is that it closely resembles my feelings at the moment! (Not the dead bit, just the angry bit.)
You see, I have been trying for weeks now to fix my blog. By that I mean that I dislike the way I did the journal and pictures of my vacation in Montana, and have been trying really hard all day to rectify the situation. I even spent a good four hours doing the whole new entry in a Word document! And for what?? NOTHING!!!
As you can see, my blog to date has vanished. That's because this is not the same blog! It looks the same... it even has the same URL address. But it is not the same blog. It is a new blog - the old one has been erased. *SIGH*
So here's the deal:
I have a whole new blog entry complete with journal and photographs waiting to be posted. The problem is that I have to go through and one by one insert about thirty or forty pictures before I can post it. Lesson to the wise: You CANNOT copy and past pictures from a Word document into the blog entry creator - it won't let you! Gaaahhh!!!
So I am going to let this rest for the time being as I do not wish to succumb to an ulcer or a heart attack at only 20 years old. I'm sorry for the confusion and the delay, but don't worry - this too shall pass.
For now, consider praying for me! I am crabby and -
Oh dear... I just realized that I deleted a rather long, heartfelt blog entry without saving it first for reposting. AAAAAHHHHH!!!
